Well we came , we saw but sadly we didn't conquer. Unfortunately the way the draw went we were placed in probably the strongest group of four. We played three games in total and just couldn't match our opponents fitness, sharpness or speed around the pitch. Due to the last minute nature of the way we organised this quickly and our keeper dropping out last week despite the results all seven lads who took part gave their all for Gracie. We raised £70 on the day from all the players and this goes into the pot with the rest of the donations kindly received so far. If we have played a small part in helping others today then it really is a victory. Hoping to be back in 2019 a lot fitter and better prepared this time. Thanks all 😀

Well here we are matchday has arrived. Tournament starts at 2pm and all players are asked to arrive at Play Football Crosby for 1pm so we can register and find out our games/opponents. Weather is cold but the sun is cracking the flag, perfect conditions for football. Just like to thank everyone who has made a donation to this event which was put together at the very last minute. Wish us luck 😀

Our squad for Sunday is back to 7 again, thanks to Mark B for stepping in and agreeing to play at short notice. So with that in mind our starting 5 will be as follows. Ben Jones (GK & Captain), Mark B, Andy Asp and Neil Mc. Subs: Myself and Adam Kennaugh.

3 days to go before the big kick off this Sunday. We now have our strip for the tournament kindly loaned to us by Collegiate OB a big thank you to Ben Jones and the lads for that gesture. We also have our Team Gracie T-Shirts which arrived today. We will wear these special shirts before the game during the warm ups etc and so we can get some team photos. In terms of team news unfortunately our goalkeeper has had to withdraw from the tournament as he will be out the country. So we are actively seeking a replacement keeper which i am sure we will do before Sunday. Other than that we are raring to go and are looking forward to the day.

6 days to go before the big tournament at Play Football. Our squad is now complete and we have seven players all confirmed as available and ready to play. I now have the tough decision of picking 5 starters for the first match and 2 substitutes. Everyone will be guaranteed minutes during the games and the substitutes are rolling.
