In Oct 2016, Gracie was asked to be part of a program on BBC1 focussing on unsung heros in Manchester in the lead up to Christmas. This was done through Christies, thanks to Pen, who knew as soon as she heard they were taking oart that Gracie would love to be involved.
Over a few weeks, we met the producer, Josie, and the film crew who came to meet us and film at out house, followed us around Christies during one of Gracies appointments, and also invited us the the Christmas fair in the centre of Manchester where we met Jan, whose daughter was also treated at Christies. He ran the fair and donated the profits each year to Christies.
Gracie was on top form as you would expect, even though in the middle of filming, we found out she had relapsed for the third time, and she had to go for a op to take put another tumor from theside of her nose. She didn’t let this stop her, and even treated the film crew to a quick dance performance at the fair!
